It was quite an occasion to be planting the 100,000th tree on Saturday for The Forest in The Heart of Wellington. And it was great way to feel proud to be a Rotarian.
A sunny day and a big group of mainly young people, committed to improving the environment.
Conservation Volunteers are awesome. There were nice speeches, interesting history and a great lunch.
The Forest in The Heart of Wellington is planted. A time to pay tribute to all the Rotarians who have been involved since the 1960s.
You can see Tree #100,000, all on its own (see picture above) at the top of Ellis Street, opposite the new Anne Frank Memorial.
